I can't believe people think like this

I was showing someone the pics of Jasper on my phone today and this person actually said to me Oh, you are a mommy you had a real baby. I was like yes I know i'm a mommy. I did have to gave birth to him even though it was too early and he died in my arms. I didn't know what else to say. I was at work and it was a patient so I couldn't get mad enough to say something and get fired. I'm so sick of people thinking my Jasper wasn't a real baby. She was not the first and I doubt she will be the last.

  1. Yeah - I'm learning that most people suck at offerring any type of condolence. That's why I'm so addicted to blogging- it's really the best support I have. Keep telling your story and keep sharing Jasper's picture and hopefully you will educate some people in the process.

  2. Hi Lisa,

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I am going to have a peek at yours now... hope you don't mind. I am so sorry that you have joined this horrendous "club". Just know that we are all here to support you in any way we can.

  4. How difficult it must be to hear such stupid comments from people. I was reading a blog the other day and the women went to see her regular doctor to make sure he/she was up to date with what had happened to her. The doctor said "Its been 3 months so I guess your over it now" and "At least it wasn't a 4 yr old". Can you believe that! I am so sorry you have to go through this. I pray for your comfort.

  5. There are always going to be people who said some stupid things. Just make a funny face and waste no more time with such a person.
